Lodge Park Church Centre is the big building on the corner of Lodge Road and Lees Street ,Built in 1894, the building
is the operational home of Lodge Park Residents Association and Neighbourhood Watch.
Working with Church Officers we have been actively engaged in seeking funding to refurbish this facility and bring back
the second floor into full use, work has been completed on stage one by fitting double gazed windows and redecorating
stairs and landing and both offices.
One of the offices will provide the area with a community resources offices run jointly by the church and Lodge Park
Residents Association in developing activities for our diversified Community. The second Office will become an informal
Lounge and study area for hire at low rates.
The Church plans for the future are to extend opening times on a Wednesday to include a meal service upon funding
being available to refurbish the Kitchen area, they also have aspirations to provide activities for young people of all ages
and groups.
Providing facilities and activities for the Elderly also take a high priority for both the Church and residents Association,
and as funding become available for further refurbishments of the building, it is hoped that the consultation at open door
sessions with local residents will allow us to provide activities suggested by the people that have attended.
